Referral Rally Terms
How referral points are scored, what it takes to qualify, when each three-month rally closes, and how the free year on the Pro plan is announced and claimed.
Effective October 16, 2026
1.What the Referral Rally is
The Referral Rally is a running competition between DiamondHQ teams. Every team is issued one unique referral code, shown on its team profile page. When a brand new team is created and your code is entered on the sign-up form, your team scores one point.
The team holding the most points when a rally closes wins one year free on the Pro plan — 12 months of the top DiamondHQ plan at no charge, subject to the conditions set out below. Taking part is free, is open to every team on every plan, and requires no purchase beyond the subscription the team already holds.
The Referral Rally is run solely by DiamondHQ. Apple is not a sponsor, co-sponsor or participant of the event, and is in no way involved in administering, endorsing or running it.
2.Rally periods and timelines
A rally runs for three calendar months and always lines up with the calendar quarter:
- January 1 – March 31
- April 1 – June 30
- July 1 – September 30
- October 1 – December 31
Points are counted inside the rally that the sign-up falls in, measured in UTC, and reset to zero when it closes. Nothing carries over into the next rally.
The rally running now is October – December 2026. It closes at the end of January 1, 2027 (exclusive), its winner is announced on January 5, 2027, and the prize must be claimed by January 15, 2027. The rally after it, January – March 2027, opens immediately afterwards.
In general terms: the winner of each rally is announced on the 5th day of the month that follows it — that is, on the 5th of every third month — and the prize must be claimed by the 15th of that same month.
3.How a point is scored
One point is scored each time all of the following are true:
- A brand new team is created in DiamondHQ, either by registering a new account or by adding a new team to an existing account.
- Your referral code is entered on the creation form at the moment that team is created.
- The code is entered correctly — codes are not case sensitive, but a mistyped code scores nothing.
A code cannot be added to a team after it has been created, and points are never applied retrospectively. If a coach forgets to enter a code, there is nothing we can do about it after the fact.
4.What does not score
The following score no points, and may be removed from the table without notice:
- Entering your own team's code, or the code of any other team held under the same login.
- A second code on a team that has already used one — each new team may redeem exactly one code, ever.
- A code entered on a team that is deleted, refunded or closed before the rally ends.
- Sign-ups created through automation, bulk registration, disposable email addresses, or any other arrangement whose purpose is to inflate a total rather than to bring a real team onto DiamondHQ.
We may void any point we reasonably believe falls into the last category, and may disqualify a team that repeatedly does so.
5.Qualifying to win
To be eligible for the prize, on the day a rally closes a team must:
- Hold at least 1 point in that rally — a rally with no points scored has no winner.
- Be an active DiamondHQ team that has not been suspended or closed.
- Be current on its subscription, with no failed or outstanding payment.
- Have an owner whose login email is verified and reachable — the claim is sent there and nowhere else.
- Not have been disqualified for a breach of these terms or of the DiamondHQ Terms of Service.
Where the leading team does not qualify, the prize passes to the next qualifying team on the table.
A tie on points is settled in favour of whichever of the tied teams reached its final point first, by the timestamp recorded against that point.
6.The prize
The prize for each rally is one year free on the Pro plan: 12 consecutive months of the Pro plan, applied to the winning team at no charge. Its value is $168.00, being four quarterly Pro payments.
The free year is applied to the team that won, on the DiamondHQ account that holds it. It cannot be transferred to another team, sold, or exchanged for credit, cash, an account balance or a substitute of any kind.
A winning team already on the Pro plan has its existing subscription paused or credited so that it pays nothing for the next twelve months. A team on Basic or Elite is moved up to Pro for the year at no charge, with every Pro feature open to it for that period.
At the end of the 12 months the team returns to whichever plan it chooses and is billed normally from that point. We will tell the owner before the free year ends, so nothing is charged by surprise.
One prize is awarded per rally. A team may win more than one rally; where a second free year is won while one is still running, the two run back to back rather than at the same time.
7.Announcement and claiming the prize
The winner of each rally is announced on the 5th day of the month that follows it. On that day we email a claim link to the winning team owner's login email — the address that login signs in with, not a contact address stored anywhere else in the app.
The claim link must be used by the 15th of that same month. The claim confirms which team the free year is to be applied to.
A prize that is not claimed by that deadline is forfeited in full, and is not rolled into the next rally. Keep the owner's email address current and check it on announcement day — an email that bounces, is filtered or goes to somebody who has left the club is still an email we sent.
Once a valid claim is received we apply the free year to the team's subscription. Allow a few working days for it to show on the team's plan.
The prize is awarded to the team, through its owner. The owner is responsible for any tax arising, and for anything they agree with their club about the subscription.
8.Changes, suspension and contact
We may change these terms, pause the Referral Rally, or end it entirely. Where we do, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect, and any rally already running will be seen out under the terms it started on unless the law requires otherwise.
The Referral Rally is run by DiamondHQ and is void where prohibited by law.
Apple is not a sponsor, co-sponsor or participant of the Referral Rally. Apple does not administer, endorse, sponsor or take any part in it, has no responsibility for the rally or for any prize awarded in it, and every question, claim or dispute about the rally goes to DiamondHQ and to nobody else.
These terms sit alongside the DiamondHQ Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full. Where the two conflict on a point about the rally, these terms govern.
